Branding Process

Logo Design

TheFiveStepLogoProcess

1. We Chat.

We send you a client questionnaire so we can get to know you and your business. We discuss your organization & what you want to see in the logo.

2. We do our homework.

We conduct research on the industry itself, it’s history and competitors.

Problem-solve first, design later. We research designs that have been successful in present and past styles and trends that relate to your industry and company. We learn about trends not for their own sake but rather to be aware of them: longevity in logo design is key.

During this process, we put together a brand board on Pinterest in order to get a clear direction before any designs are created. You are invited to collaborate on the board and re-pin your favorites. Together, we collaborate on the look & feel your logo will have and when we are done we have a clear design direction to go in.

3. We create.

We create design concepts based on our chat & research.

4. We revise & edit.

We revise and improve the logo based on your comments and requests for changes.

Did we mention you get unlimited revisions? Here’s where the fun happens. You can pick just one idea for refinement — sometimes you may want to run two or three in parallel just to see where they go. We go back and forth regarding the improvements and changes for the presented logo drafts. Ultimately, the final logo is chosen, approved and prepared for identity development.

5. You Celebrate. Woohoo!

You receive that final logo, which can be used on your branding, marketing collateral, printed items, website, and everywhere! You receive the original Vector, Illustrator and EPS files for the logo. These files are scalable to any size, large or small.

Tagline Development

This is a completely optional step and we do this only if you need it. This involves a “word tree” exercise and research to develop the perfect company tagline. Several word combinations are given to choose from and includes two rounds of changes.

Brand Board

From your official brand style guide, we put together a “cheat sheet” one page branding board or mood board. This will give an overview to your logo, color palette, logo variants, fonts & social media graphics to use. This is great to post on your company blog or social media outlets to get the word out about your new brand!

Official Brand Style Guide

This will include all of the colors in your chosen logo design mapped out in a color palette in CMYK, RGB & Pantone colors. Along with your logo color palette, we will develop a complimentary color palette to keep all of your branding consistent across multiple platforms. The secondary color palette will also be mapped out in CMYK, RGB & Pantone colors. This is a PDF booklet that outlines your color palette, typography, logo placements and logo use across multiple platforms.  You will be given all of the font files used in your logo design along with typography guidelines on how to use the fonts in multiple media formats. Your complimentary typography will also be chosen and you will be given all of the font files for this that will be included in your guide on how to use them. Specific use includes headers, body copy, sub-headers & taglines.

Business Card & Letterhead Design

Business cards & letterhead will be designed based off of the chosen logo design and branding development. This includes two unique design options to choose from and includes two rounds of changes. The business card design will be front & back or one sided if appropriate. Final files will be delivered as the following. Letterhead – PDF & Microsoft Word. Business Card Design – InDesign & PDF print-ready formats. We will lay out up to 5 different business cards to the chosen design with unique names and information and deliver them in print-ready formats.

Social Media Branding

We will design a unique profile “header” image to be applied to several social media outlets. This includes two rounds of changes. Once approved, we will resize the design for Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus & Linkedin and deliver ready-to-use images.
